Tenterden District Vaccination Register is located at the Centre for Kentish Studies in Maidstone, Kent in the Tenterden Union Section. The reference is G/Te NPV plus the relevant Book number. The register has been partially transcribed by Pat Chown and contains 8733 records of vaccinations between July 1871 and November 1899, and a further period from November 1911 to September 1920. The parishes covered are Appledore, Biddenden, Kenardington, High Halden, Newenden, Rolvenden, Stone-cum-Ebony, Tenterden, Wittersham and Woodchurch.

All vaccination records (1871-1899 & 1911-1920) for Woodchurch have been checked against Woodchurch baptisms, burials, non-conformist baptisms and FreeBMD. All records have been checked against FreeBMD and Non-conformist records for 1871-1899.
Dates of birth and death have been entered in the Woodchurch records.
FreeBMD have been contacted with suggested corrections for births and deaths.

This transcription is incomplete but the WAG Steering Group thought that even in this form, the transcription would be a valuable resource for members
